Lib Dem Councillors New Surgery Dates Announced

11.20.11am GMT Wed 24th Jan 2007

Liberal Democrat Councillors hold regular Advice Surgeries on the second and fourth Saturdays in both Torquay and Paignton Libraries.

The dates up until the end of April 2007 have just been published. All local residents who have a problem or issue concerning the Council they would like to discuss are welcome, and no appointment is necessary.

The Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Torbay Council, Cllr. Gordon Jennings said, "The Liberal Democrats have always recognised that it is important for Councillors to be available to the public that they serve. As with all Councillors our contact details are available to the public. Unlike the Conservatives, however, the Liberal Democrats have held Councillors Advice Surgeries at Torquay and Paignton Libraries since May 2003. I would encourage members of the public to come and see us if they have a problem that we can deal with, or an issue they would like to discuss."

The Liberal Democrat Councillors for Goodrington with Roselands Ward (Councillors Christine Carter) and Churston with Galmpton (Cllr. Dave Browne) hold a joint Surgery every third Tuesday at Goodrington Methodist Community Hall between 5 and 6pm.

The Liberal Democrat Councillors for St. Marychurch Ward (Cllrs. Faulkner and Stringer) hold regular surgeries - please see the Herald Express for venues and times.
