Hughes Backs Pannell's Bid for Torbay Mayor

Lib Dem Party President Simon Hughes MP is backing Torbay's Champion Nick Pannell

Visiting Torbay Simon Hughes MP, Liberal Democrat Party President, backed Nick Pannell's Mayoral Campaign.

Simon visited Brixham and Torquay town centres and met with local people and discussed issues facing the Torbay electorate.

Nick Pannell said;

"I am very pleased to have received Simon's support. It was a very successful day talking to local people in both Brixham and Torquay and hearing their opinions on what an elected Mayor should deliver."

Simon Hughes MP added,

"Nick Pannell would make an excellent mayor for Torbay and I am backing him 100%. Responses from people we met in Brixham and Torquay were very positive"

Simon Hughes is the MP for North Southwark and Bermondsey and the Liberal Democrat Party President. He stood as the Liberal Democrat Candidate in the London Mayoral election in 2004.
