The impact of £1.709 million cuts to Torbay Council's Children's Services are to be raised at the Full Council meeting on Wednesday, 13th May.

TORBAY COUNCIL URGED TO BACK 'TRANSITION TOWN' MOVEMENT

Torbay Council is being urged by the Liberal Democrats to take a lead on climate change and reduce dependence on oil by fully endorsing the Transition Town Movement, and supporting any communities in Torbay who wish to join the initiative.

COUNCILLOR SECURES REPLACEMENTS FOR TREES TO BE CULLED IN GOODRINGTON

After hearing that trees in the area of the Waterpark and Go-Kart Site at Goodrington Sands in Paignton were all to be cut down, local Councillor Christine Carter intervened and has secured the agreement of the Council to replant new trees near by along the walkway of Young's Park.

BALLOON POLICY SO WEAK IT IS DEFLATED SAY LIB DEMS

The Deputy Leader and Leader of the Liberal Democrat Council Group Councillors Alan Faulkner and Steve Darling have hit out at a proposed policy on not releasing balloons at Torbay council events. Their criticism is that the policy is so weak that it is meaningless.
